Be a Partner Ministry
Through partner ministries and affiliates, the grassroots national student mission movement happens. The movement is able to pursue a truly grassroots, saturating-style mobilization permeation across the nation.
Partner ministries and affiliates are invited to implement and integrate the vision, goals and objectives of the Student Mission Movement into the mission strategy and organizational structure of their local ministry.
Partner ministries are organizations from the primary four sectors of the student world:
- Campus ministry organizations
- Denomination and Church Networks
- Mission Agencies
- Bible schools (universities, etc) and ministry/mission training schools
Through the use of a Memo of Understanding (MOU), a relationship is developed between these ministries and the student mission movement. See the MOU for your particular sector by clicking on the appropriate link above.
SVM2’s purpose is to be an encouragement and tool, which is a helpful boost to the overall mission effort of ministries across the four sectors of the student world. As such, the movement can be implemented within the context of each ministry’s mission strategy and organizational structure.
Partner ministries encourage their grassroots, local level leadership (student leaders and staff) to participate as affiliates. Multitudes of affiliates from each partner ministriy participate in the national movement.
Our hope is that the progression toward this end will look something like the following:
- Step 1 – Learn About What SVM2 Is and Does
- Step 2 – Meet With Your Organizational Leadership To Discuss
- Step 3 – Commit to the appropriate Memo of Understanding
- Step 4 – Appoint an Organizational Facilitator (see Handbook)
- Step 5 – Receive All Materials from National Facilitator
- Step 6 – Begin Implementation Plan Through Your Organization
When you’ve ready for step 5, go to your country’s National Student Mission Movement page (located on the right sidebar), and email the National Lead Facilitator or Advisory Council chair to order and obtain the materials necessary to begin implementing the Four Core Components.
