Purpose of the Student Mission Movement Internship

A Biblical Model in Nehemiah

In the book of Nehemiah God draws His people together in Jerusalem for the united purpose of helping rebuild the wall around the city. No one tribe could accomplish such a task on their own. They needed to partner together in the endeavor. This is what we face in the student mission world as well. SVM2 serves today’s global student mission movement through providing an international platform to pursue common goals and objectives corporately in each individual organization and church.

Potential Interns

The Student Mission Movement Internship has been designed to serve young people, ages 18-30, who sense a call from God to involvement in going deeper in exploring God’s heart for the nations in an on-site unreached environment. God is raising up a “New Breed” of cross-cultural Message Bearers from all over the world and a majority will receive that calling while still in college or university.

A Specific Kind of Training

The Student Mission Movement Internship equips interns with spiritual and practical teaching to empower them to return to their countries and ministry contexts ready to teach others and mobilize their peers with a burning heart for living wholeheartedly for Jesus and for involvement in long-term ministry among the unreached. The Student Mission Movement Internship provides a spiritual community to learn, practice, develop and reflect on what God is doing in your own life while developing skills to serve the growing mobilization movement to the nations.
