Student Mission Movement Internship

internship logo

This 16-week internship experience is a unique blend of on-site classroom learning, local outreach ministry, and serving the international student mission movement while living, learning, and ministering in a completely unreached context.

The challenges of learning another language, culture shock, and ministry demands will all be part of the learning process. Yet the community built through these experiences will deepen relationships and refine the character to more resemble our Risen Savior.

Components of the internship:

  • Two-week intensive courses, including Foundations of the Student Mission Movement, Serving Among the Unreached, and Prayer
  • Daily involvement in the prayer room
  • Daily Bible study
  • Local outreach ministry
  • Introductory language acquisition
  • Involvement in the SVM2 International office
  • Catch the Vision Tour
  • Encounter Trip to the Seven Churches

Cost:

  • $2,500, not including transportation to and from Turkey

Class 1

  • Internship dates: 23 August – 10 December, 2010

Because of the nature of this internship, we are seeking a specific caliber of individual. First, we are only looking for women because this first class is limited to enrollment of a maximum of six students. These women should have graduated from university, Bible college, or training school. They also need to articulate a call to the nations, which does not necessarily mean living overseas, but it does mean that they see themselves called to mobilize and/or facilitate others getting to the field.

  • Deadline for applications: 12 February, 2010
  • For selection of interns: 15 March, 2010

Individuals applying must be recommended by their campus ministry leader or professor.
